Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a medium bowl, combine the olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, lime juice, and lime zest. Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for 15-20 minutes.

Prepare the Avocado Crema: While the shrimp is marinating, add the avocado, Greek yogurt, lime juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy. Stir in chopped cilantro if using. Set aside.

Cook the Shrimp: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat.

Warm the Tortillas: In the same skillet, heat the tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until warm and pliable. You can cover them with a kitchen towel to keep warm.

Assemble the Tacos: On each tortilla, layer shredded cabbage, a few pieces of cooked shrimp, diced tomatoes, and a generous drizzle of avocado crema.

Garnish and Serve: Top with fresh cilantro and lime wedges. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious zesty shrimp tacos!
