Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup whole milk

1 large egg

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Maple Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

1-2 tablespoons milk (adjust for consistency)

A pinch of salt

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a mini muffin pan or donut hole pan with cooking spray.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon until well combined.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, combine the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.

Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Fill the Pan: Spoon the batter into the prepared mini muffin pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full to allow for rising.

Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the donut holes are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool: Allow the donut holes to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Make the Maple Glaze: In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, maple syrup, milk, and a pinch of salt until smooth and glossy. Adjust the milk quantity if you desire a thinner or thicker glaze.

Glaze the Donut Holes: Once the donut holes are completely cooled, dip the tops into the maple glaze, allowing any excess to drip off. Place them back on the wire rack to let the glaze set.

Serve and Enjoy: Once the glaze has set, serve your Sweet Maple Glazed Donut Holes warm or at room temperature. Enjoy the sweet burst of maple flavor!
