Ingredients

4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on for extra flavor)

1/4 cup Sriracha sauce

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the Sriracha sauce, honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Marinate Chicken: Place the chicken thighs in a large zip-top bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Preheat the Oven: When ready to cook, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Bake the Chicken: Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil (for easier cleanup) and place a wire rack on top. Remove the chicken from the marinade (save the marinade) and arrange the thighs skin-side up on the wire rack. Bake for 30 minutes.

Glaze the Chicken: While the chicken is baking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring it to a boil over medium heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat.

Broil for Crispiness: After 30 minutes, remove the chicken from the oven. Brush the thickened glaze over the chicken thighs. Turn on the oven’s broiler and broil the chicken for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and caramelized.

Rest and Serve: Take the chicken out of the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Enjoy: Serve hot with steamed rice or your favorite vegetable side for a complete meal.
