Ingredients

2 cups fresh spinach, chopped

1 can (14 oz) artichoke hearts, drained and chopped

1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded

1 cup cream cheese, softened

½ cup sour cream

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, artichoke hearts, shredded chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated and you have a creamy filling.

Roll Out the Puff Pastry: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to smooth out any creases. Cut the pastry into rectangles, approximately 4 inches by 6 inches.

Fill the Pastry: Place a generous spoonful of the spinach and artichoke filling in the center of each rectangle. Be careful not to overfill, as you’ll need to seal the twists.

Twist and Seal: Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling, forming a pocket. Twist the sides together to create a spiral effect. Ensure the filling is fully enclosed by sealing the edges with your fingers.

Brush with Egg Wash: Place the twists on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden color when baked.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the twists are puffed and golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm and enjoy your delightful Spinach & Artichoke Chicken Twists!
