Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled

1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

4 whole-grain burger buns

1 large tomato, sliced

1 cucumber, sliced

Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Tzatziki sauce (for serving, optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Turkey Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped spinach, crumbled feta cheese, red onion, minced garlic, dried oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently with your hands until all ingredients are well combined without overworking the meat.

Form the Patties: Divide the turkey mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to ensure even cooking.

Cook the Patties: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the turkey patties to the skillet. Cook for 5-6 minutes on one side before flipping. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes on the other side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C), and the burgers are golden brown.

Toast the Buns: While the patties cook, you can toast the burger buns on the grill or in the oven until golden brown.

Assemble the Burgers: Place the cooked turkey patties on the toasted buns. Top each patty with a slice of tomato and cucumber. If desired, add a dollop of tzatziki sauce and sprinkle with fresh parsley.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve the burgers hot with your choice of sides, such as sweet potato fries or a fresh salad.
