Ingredients

2 oz tequila (preferably silver)

1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice

1 oz pineapple juice

1 oz agave syrup

1-2 serrano peppers (sliced, adjust for spice preference)

1 oz orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Triple Sec)

Fresh pineapple wedges for garnish

Lime wheel for garnish

Sea salt (for rimming the glass)

Ice cubes

Instructions

Prepare the Glass: Start by rimming your margarita glass with lime juice and dipping it into sea salt to coat the rim. Set aside.

Macerate the Peppers: In a shaker, add the sliced serrano peppers. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press and muddle the peppers, releasing their oils and spiciness. Be careful not to over-muddle, as this can make the drink too spicy.

Combine Ingredients: Add the tequila, lime juice, pineapple juice, agave syrup, and orange liqueur to the shaker with the muddled serrano peppers.

Shake It Up: Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well combined and chilled.

Strain & Serve: Strain the mixture into your prepared glass filled with fresh ice to keep it chilled. If you prefer a smoother drink, you can double strain to remove the spicy bits.

Garnish: Garnish with a fresh pineapple wedge and a lime wheel on the rim of the glass.

Enjoy: Take a sip and enjoy the refreshing and spicy explosion of flavors!
