Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

2 tablespoons olive oil

8 oz fettuccine pasta

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Season the Chicken: Rub the Cajun seasoning all over the chicken breasts, ensuring an even coating. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side until cooked through and golden brown. Remove from the skillet and let them rest.

Cook the Pasta: While the chicken is resting, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet used for the chicken, add the butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then, pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer.

Add Parmesan: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, and let it melt into the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water gradually until you reach your desired consistency. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, if using.

Combine Ingredients: Slice the cooked chicken into strips and add it to the Alfredo sauce. Toss in the drained fettuccine and mix until everything is coated evenly in the sauce.

Serve: Plate the spicy Cajun chicken Alfredo and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve immediately to enjoy the richness and heat!
