Ingredients

300g linguine pasta

200g smoked salmon, sliced into strips

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (plus extra for garnish)

1 teaspoon capers, rinsed and chopped (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Freshly grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest and set the pasta aside.

Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Create the Sauce: Reduce the heat to low. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine with the garlic. Allow it to simmer for about 2 minutes, thickening slightly.

Add the Flavors: Stir in the lemon juice, chopped dill, and capers (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and let the sauce simmer for another 2-3 minutes.

Combine with Pasta: Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is reached.

Add the Salmon: Gently fold in the smoked salmon strips, allowing them to warm through without cooking, about 1-2 minutes.

Serve: Plate the pasta and garnish with additional chopped dill, freshly grated Parmesan cheese, and lemon wedges on the side.

Enjoy: Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Smoked Salmon and Dill Pasta!
