Ingredients

2 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

4 large sandwich rolls or ciabatta bread

Extra Parmesan cheese for topping

Romaine lettuce leaves (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the slow cooker.

Season: In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and lemon juice. Rub this mixture over the chicken to coat evenly.

Add Dressing: Pour the Caesar dressing over the chicken in the slow cooker, making sure it's well-covered. Add the grated Parmesan cheese on top.

Cook: Cover and set the slow cooker to low heat. Cook for 6-7 hours, or high heat for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and shreds easily with a fork.

Shred the Chicken: Once cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker, mixing it with the dressing and cheese to combine well.

Prepare the Sandwiches: Slice the sandwich rolls or ciabatta bread in half. If desired, lightly toast them.

Assemble: Layer the shredded chicken generously on the bottom half of each roll. Top with fresh romaine lettuce leaves if using, and sprinkle additional Parmesan cheese on top before placing the other half of the roll on top.

Garnish: Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley for added flavor and freshness. Serve warm.
