Ingredients

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

1/2 cup chicken broth

1 small onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

12 slider buns

Coleslaw (for topping, optional)

Pickles (for serving, optional)

Instructions

Prep the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker. If needed, trim any excess fat for a leaner outcome.

Mix the Sauce: In a separate bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, chicken broth, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, brown sugar, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Stir until well blended.

Combine Ingredients: Pour the BBQ sauce mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker, ensuring each piece is well-coated.

Cook: Cover the slow cooker and set it to low for 6-8 hours, or high for 3-4 hours. The chicken is done when it’s tender and easily shreds with a fork.

Shred the Chicken: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and place it on a cutting board. Use two forks to shred the chicken. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir it well with the remaining sauce.

Prepare the Slider Buns: Toast the slider buns lightly under the broiler for a couple of minutes until golden brown.

Assemble the Sliders: Scoop a generous amount of the BBQ chicken onto the bottom half of each slider bun. Top with coleslaw if desired, and place the top half of the bun on each slider.

Serve: Serve immediately with pickles on the side for an extra crunch. Enjoy your mouthwatering BBQ chicken sliders!
