Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 egg, beaten

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 cup bourbon

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for cooking)

Instructions

Prepare the Meatballs: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, beaten egg, parsley, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and Italian seasoning. Mix gently until just combined; do not overmix.

Form Meatballs: Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. You should get approximately 20 meatballs.

Cook the Meatballs: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the meatballs. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meatballs are browned on all sides and cooked through.

Make the Bourbon Glaze: While meatballs are cooking, in a medium bowl, whisk together the bourbon, brown sugar, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and Dijon mustard until well combined.

Glaze the Meatballs: Once the meatballs are cooked, reduce the heat to low. Pour the bourbon glaze over the meatballs in the skillet. Gently toss the meatballs to coat them with the glaze. Let them simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes until the glaze thickens and becomes sticky, stirring occasionally.

Serve: Remove the skillet from heat. Serve the bourbon glazed turkey meatballs warm, garnished with additional parsley if desired. Pair with rice, noodles, or a side salad for a complete meal.
