Ingredients

8 oz elbow macaroni

4 cups vegetable broth

1 cup milk (whole or low-fat)

2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

½ tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp salt (to taste)

1 tbsp unsalted butter

½ cup cream cheese, cubed

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, combine the elbow macaroni and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Allow it to simmer for about 8-10 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente and most of the liquid is absorbed.

Add Flavor: Lower the heat, and stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.

Creamy Base: Add the butter and cubed cream cheese into the pot, stirring until both are fully melted and combined with the pasta.

Incorporate Milk: Gradually pour in the milk, stirring constantly to achieve a smooth consistency.

Cheese it Up: Once everything is well combined and the mixture is heated through, gradually add the shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Continue stirring until the cheese melts completely and creates a creamy, luxurious sauce.

Serve: Give the mac and cheese a final stir, taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley for a touch of freshness.
