Ingredients

1 lb (450g) ground beef

2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup beef broth

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 cup cooked rice (optional, for serving)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Beef: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onions and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant and the onions become translucent (about 3-5 minutes). Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula, and cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Drain any excess grease.

Season the Mixture: Stir in the black pepper, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix well to ensure the beef is evenly seasoned.

Add Broccoli: Pour in the beef broth and soy sauce, stirring to combine. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet. Cover and simmer for about 5-7 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

Add Cheese: Once the broccoli is cooked, reduce the heat to low and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top. Cover the skillet again and let it sit for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts into a gooey, cheesy layer.

Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve warm, over a bed of cooked rice if desired, for a hearty meal.
