Ingredients

1 pound ground beef or turkey

1 packet taco seasoning

12 mini tortilla cups (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 cup diced tomatoes

½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)

½ cup sour cream

½ cup guacamole

¼ cup sliced black olives (optional)

Fresh cilantro for garnish

Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

Cook the Protein: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey until fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Season: Stir in the taco seasoning and follow the package instructions for adding water. Cook until the mixture thickens, about 5 more minutes. Remove from heat.

Prepare Tortilla Cups: If making homemade tortilla cups, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut small circles from tortillas and mold them into a muffin tin to create cups. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden and crispy. Allow to cool.

Assemble the Cups: Spoon about a tablespoon of the seasoned meat into the bottom of each tortilla cup.

Layer on Fresh Toppings: Top the meat with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese.

Add Creaminess: Use a dollop of sour cream and guacamole on each cup.

Finish with Garnish: Sprinkle black olives and fresh cilantro over the top, if using.

Serve with Style: Present the cups on a platter and add lime wedges for that zesty kick.
