Ingredients

1 cup cooked chicken, shredded

1/2 cup black beans, rinsed and drained

1/2 cup corn kernels (fresh or frozen)

1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)

1/4 cup salsa

1 tsp taco seasoning

1 pack of refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 small avocado, diced (optional)

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Filling: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, black beans, corn, shredded cheese, salsa, and taco seasoning. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated.

Roll Out Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean, flat surface. You’ll have a rectangle of dough divided into triangles. Use a rolling pin to flatten each triangle slightly.

Fill Dough: Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. If desired, add a few pieces of diced avocado for extra flavor.

Wrap Up: Starting at the wide end, roll the dough up around the filling, ensuring to tuck in the sides to prevent spilling. Place the wraps seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Egg Wash: Brush the tops of the filled wraps with a beaten egg for a golden-brown finish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and the dough is fully cooked.

Serve: Once out of the oven, let the wraps cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving, and enjoy with additional salsa on the side, if desired.
