Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

½ cup whole milk

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup maple syrup

1 cup powdered sugar

Additional ground cinnamon for dusting

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan with non-stick cooking spray.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt until thoroughly combined.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, beat the eggs, then stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Combine Both Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Do not over-mix; a few lumps are okay.

Fill the Donut Pan: Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.

Bake the Donuts: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let them cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Prepare the Maple Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup and powdered sugar until smooth. If the glaze is too thick, add a little more maple syrup until desired consistency is reached.

Glaze the Donuts: Once the donuts are completely cooled, dip the top half of each donut into the maple glaze. Allow the excess glaze to drip off before placing them back on the wire rack.

Dust with Cinnamon: While the glaze is still wet, sprinkle a touch of ground cinnamon over the top for added flavor and decoration.

Serve and Enjoy: Let the glaze set for a few minutes before serving. Pair with a hot cup of coffee for the perfect treat!
