Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

1/4 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cups broccoli florets

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, olive oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined. Set aside about 1/4 of the marinade for later use.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Broccoli: While the salmon is marinating, steam or blanch the broccoli florets until bright green and just tender (about 3-4 minutes). Immediately transfer them to ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain and set aside.

Bake the Salmon: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it skin-side down on the prepared sheet. Drizzle a little of the reserved marinade over the top of each fillet. Season with salt and pepper. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

Glaze the Broccoli: In a medium skillet, heat a splash of olive oil over medium heat. Add the steamed broccoli and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Drizzle with the reserved marinade and toss to coat. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Serve: Plate the salmon fillets alongside the glazed broccoli. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for garnish if desired. Serve with lemon wedges for a fresh squeeze of citrus.
