12 oz (340g) pasta (fusilli or penne works best)

1 cup fig jam

2 cups ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cups fresh spinach, chopped

1 large egg

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain well and set aside.

      Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, and 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese. Mix in the egg, garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste.

        Incorporate Spinach: Gently fold the chopped spinach into the cheese mixture until evenly distributed.
