12 oz cheese tortellini

2 tbsp olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (14.5 oz) crushed tomatoes

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped (plus extra for garnish)

1 tsp dried oregano

Salt, to taste

Pepper, to taste

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Cook the Tortellini: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the cheese tortellini and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

      Add Tomatoes: Pour in the crushed tomatoes, and stir. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
