Ingredients

1 package (8 oz) crescent roll dough

1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy, depending on preference)

1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)

1/4 cup sour cream

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup diced green onions (plus extra for garnish)

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp salt

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned and completely cooked through, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks (about 7-10 minutes). Drain any excess fat.

Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, diced green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir until everything is well mixed and creamy.

Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface. Separate the dough into triangles as per the perforations.

Add the Filling: Spoon a generous amount of the sausage mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. Be careful not to overfill, or it may spill out while baking.

Roll the Crescents: Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle up towards the pointed end. Place the rolled crescents on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Apply Egg Wash: Brush the tops of the crescents with the beaten egg to create a lovely golden finish while baking.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.

Garnish & Serve: Once out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes. Garnish with extra diced green onions before serving.

Enjoy: Serve warm as a delightful appetizer, snack, or any meal of the day!
