12 oz white chocolate chips

1-2 teaspoons peppermint extract (to taste)

1 cup mint chocolate chips (for topping)

1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies (optional, for extra crunch)

Sea salt flakes (optional, for a hint of flavor contrast)

Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet (approximately 12x16 inches) with parchment paper, ensuring it hangs over the edges for easy removal later.

    Melt the Dark Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, add the dark chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until completely melted and smooth. This should take about 1-2 minutes in total. Stir in 1 teaspoon of peppermint extract.

      Spread the Dark Chocolate: Pour the melted dark chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet. Use a spatula to spread it evenly into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick. Place in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes to set.

        Melt the White Chocolate: In another microwave-safe bowl, add the white chocolate chips. Repeat the melting process, microwaving in 30-second intervals and stirring until smooth. Once melted, mix in the remaining peppermint extract to achieve your desired minty flavor.
