1 cup of dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped

2 tablespoons of unsalted butter

1 cup of heavy whipping cream

1/4 cup of granulated sugar

1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

1/2 cup of hazelnut spread (such as Nutella)

1/4 cup of finely chopped hazelnuts (plus extra for garnish)

Pinch of salt

6 chocolate mousse cups or small serving glasses

Instructions
 

Melt the Chocolate: In a heatproof bowl, combine the chopped dark chocolate and butter. Melt them together by placing the bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) or in the microwave. Stir continuously until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

    Whip the Cream: In a medium mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with the granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt using an electric mixer. Beat until medium peaks form—this should take about 3-4 minutes.

      Combine Mixtures: Once the chocolate mixture has cooled to room temperature, gently fold in the hazelnut spread until fully incorporated.

        Incorporate the Whipped Cream: Carefully fold in the whipped cream into the chocolate and hazelnut mixture, a third at a time, until well combined but still airy. Be gentle to maintain the light texture.
