Chocolate Dipped Frozen Kiwi

6 ripe kiwis

1 cup dark chocolate chips (or milk chocolate for a sweeter taste)

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)

Sea salt (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Kiwis: Peel the kiwis and slice them into rounds, approximately 1/2 inch thick. Arrange the slices on a plate.

    Freeze the Kiwis: Place the kiwi slices in the freezer for about 1 hour, or until they are solid.

      Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.

        Dip the Kiwis: Remove the frozen kiwi slices from the freezer. One at a time, dip each slice into the melted chocolate, allowing the excess chocolate to drip off. Use a fork to help you lift them out of the chocolate.

          Set on Parchment: Place the chocolate-dipped kiwis on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. If desired, sprinkle a tiny pinch of sea salt on top of each one before the chocolate sets.

            Freeze Again: Once all kiwi slices are dipped, return the baking sheet to the freezer for another 30 minutes, allowing the chocolate to harden completely.

              Serve: Once the chocolate is firm, serve the chocolate-dipped frozen kiwis immediately or store them in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks.
