Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

      Cream the Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

        Add Egg and Vanilla: Beat in the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture until well combined.

          Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until incorporated.

            Fold in Chocolate Chips and Marshmallows: Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and nuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
