Ingredients

1 lb (450g) ground beef

2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

1 cup uncooked jasmine rice

2 cups beef broth

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese of your choice)

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt to taste

Sliced green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Rice:

    - In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of beef broth to a boil. Add the jasmine rice, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat and set aside.

      Sauté the Beef:

        - In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.

          Season the Beef:

            - Stir in the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt to taste. Mix well to combine and let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to infuse the flavors.

              Cook the Broccoli:

                - Add the broccoli florets to the skillet with the beef. Stir well and cover the skillet with a lid. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the broccoli is tender but still crisp, stirring occasionally.

                  Combine Ingredients:

                    - Once the broccoli is cooked, lower the heat and stir in the cooked rice. Mix thoroughly ensuring the rice, beef, and broccoli are evenly distributed.

                      Add the Cheese:

                        - Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the beef and broccoli mixture. Cover the skillet again for 2-3 minutes allowing the cheese to melt.

                          Serve:

                            - Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve hot in bowls and enjoy your delicious Cheesy Beef and Broccoli Rice Bowl!
