Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: 1/4 cup pine nuts, toasted

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool it down, then set aside.

Prepare the Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste.

Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled pasta, halved cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and torn basil leaves.

Dress the Salad: Drizzle the dressing over the pasta mixture and gently toss to ensure everything is well-coated.

Add Pine Nuts (Optional): If using, sprinkle the toasted pine nuts on top for added crunch and flavor.

Chill and Serve: Let the pasta salad sit for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
