Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (add more for extra kick)

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

Begin by melting the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Keep an eye on it to ensure it doesn’t brown too much – you want it to be just melted and bubbly.

Once the butter is fully melted, stir in the minced garlic. Sauté for about 2 minutes, until the garlic is fragrant but not burnt. Stir frequently to prevent the garlic from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

Next, add the Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper to the garlic butter. Mix well, and let the spices infuse the sauce for an additional 1-2 minutes while stirring constantly.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the fresh lemon juice. This will brighten the flavors and add a zesty dimension to the sauce.

Taste your sauce and season with salt and black pepper as desired. If you prefer it spicier, feel free to add more Cajun seasoning.

Finally, sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the sauce for a pop of color and freshness. Serve immediately over seafood, pasta, or grilled vegetables.
