Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes

1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce

1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed

1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni

1 cup beef broth

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.

Sauté Vegetables: Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until onions are translucent.

Combine Ingredients: Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans, uncooked elbow macaroni, beef broth, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly to combine.

Transfer to a Casserole Dish: Pour the beef and pasta mixture into a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish. Spread evenly.

Add Cheese: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.

Cover and Bake: Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.

Uncover and Continue Baking: After 25 minutes, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

Let it Rest: Once baked, remove the casserole from the oven and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes. This allows it to set for easier serving.

Garnish and Serve: Optionally, garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving. Serve warm and enjoy!
