Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup cherry pie filling (or fresh cherries, pitted and chopped)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon milk

Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

Roll Out the Dough: Open the can of crescent roll dough and gently unroll it on a clean surface. You will see that it is divided into triangles.

Fill the Croissants: Take one triangle of dough and spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on the wider end. Add a spoonful of cherry pie filling on top of the cream cheese. Be careful not to overfill to prevent spilling during cooking.

Roll Up the Croissant: Starting from the wide end, carefully roll the dough towards the tip until you have a crescent shape. Pinch the ends to seal the filling inside.

Prepare for Air Frying: Repeat the filling and rolling process for all dough triangles. Place the croissants seam-side down in a single layer in the air fryer basket. If needed, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.

Apply Egg Wash: In a small bowl, whisk the beaten egg with the milk. Brush the egg wash over the top of each croissant to achieve a golden-brown finish as they cook.

Air Fry the Croissants: Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C). Air fry the croissants for about 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Cool and Serve: Once done, carefully remove the croissants from the air fryer. Let them cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
