Ingredients

2 large apples (preferably Fuji or Honeycrisp)

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon granulated sugar (optional, for sweetness)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

A pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare the Apples:

    - Wash and dry the apples. Core each apple (you can use an apple corer) and slice them very thinly (about 1/8 inch thick). Use a mandoline slicer for consistency if available.

      Toss with Lemon Juice:

        - In a large bowl, add the apple slices and drizzle with lemon juice. This will not only prevent browning but also add a slight tangy flavor.

          Season the Apples:

            - In a small bowl, mix the ground cinnamon, granulated sugar (if using), and a pinch of salt. Sprinkle this mixture over the apple slices and toss well to ensure all slices are evenly coated.

              Preheat the Air Fryer:

                - Set your air fryer to preheat at 300°F (150°C). Preheating helps achieve that perfect crunch.

                  Air Fry the Apple Slices:

                    - Arrange the apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.

                      - Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping the apple slices halfway through the cooking time. Keep an eye on them, as cooking times may vary based on the thickness of the slices and your specific air fryer model. They should be golden and crispy.

                        Cool and Store:

                          - Once the apple cinnamon chips are done, carefully remove them from the air fryer and place them on a wire rack to cool completely. This will help them crisp up further as they cool.

                            - Store in an airtight container for up to a week (if they last that long!).
